Applicants should have a PhD awarded or near completion by the start date in computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics, network science, or a related quantitative field. Strong Python and machine-learning programming skills are required, along with experience in computational experiments and independent research. Helpful extras include persistent homology tools (GUDHI, Ripser, giotto-tda), transformers/LLMs, PyTorch, Hugging Face, HPC/SLURM, distributed multi-GPU training, hypergraphs, simplicial complexes, higher-order Laplacians, large knowledge graphs, and open-source research software.
