Postdoctoral Research Associate opportunity at the University of Texas at Tyler in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Center for Advanced Research in Intelligent Systems and Emerging Technologies (CARISET).

The position is supervised by Professor Frederic Rizk and focuses on interdisciplinary research at the intersection of Trustworthy AI, Machine Learning, and Hardware Security. Research themes include Physical Unclonable Functions (PUFs), secure computing frameworks, interpretability, distributed systems, robust ML, quantum integration, and HPC-AI. Applications in healthcare, energy, and autonomous infrastructure are highlighted.

This is a research-intensive postdoctoral role with responsibilities to conduct independent research, publish in top-tier journals and conferences, assist in securing grants (including NSF, TARP, Texas Instruments, and similar), and mentor MS students while collaborating across engineering and computer science departments.

Eligibility requires a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering by Fall 2026, along with strong programming skills, technical initiative, and expertise in PUFs, cryptography, or AI/ML frameworks.
