About this position

Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Computational Modeling of Digital Education Data at the University of Tübingen in Germany.

This 3-year, full-time postdoctoral position (100%, E 13 TV-L, with possible extension) is part of a collaborative project between the Hector Research Institute of Education Sciences and Psychology and the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics. The successful candidate will work closely with Prof. Kou Murayama, Prof. Michiko Sakaki, and Prof. Peter Dayan, and will have substantial freedom to develop an independent research program. Potential topics include continual and self-directed learning, curiosity, metacognition, motivation, procrastination, self-regulated learning, and representational change.

Eligibility highlights: applicants should have a PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience, Computer Science, or a related field (or expect to obtain one by the start date), strong experience in cognitive computational modeling, and a strong research track record. Prior experience in education research is not required, but a genuine interest in education research is expected. German is helpful but not mandatory.
