About this position
Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Denver, Josef Korbel School of Global & Public Affairs, in Denver, Colorado, United States.
This postdoc is part of the Women’s Activities in Armed Rebellion (WAAR) research project, funded by the UN’s Complex Risk Analytics Fund (CRAF’d). The fellow will spend one full academic year at the University of Denver and may work fully remote.
Research interests include gender and armed conflict, civil wars, rebellion, international affairs, and the use of qualitative and quantitative data. The role includes coding qualitative material into a quantitative dataset, preparing data for journal articles and book projects, and developing practitioner-oriented and qualitative handbooks.
Applicants should have substantial progress toward a PhD in Political Science, International Studies, Sociology, or a related field, with completion of all PhD requirements by August 1, 2026. Experience in collaborative research and demonstrated excellence in research and/or teaching on international affairs are required.
Funding: salary of $65,000 plus benefits including medical, dental, retirement, paid time off, tuition benefit, and ECO pass.
