About this position
Postdoctoral Research Fellow opportunity at Boston Children's Hospital in the Department of Cardiac Surgery, with a preferred start date of September 2026.
The McCully Lab is recruiting a postdoc to work on mitochondrial biology and mitochondrial transplantation as therapeutic approaches for mitochondrial dysfunction and tissue injury. The role involves both basic and translational research using cell-based and preclinical models, with room to pursue independent scientific ideas in a collaborative, well-mentored environment.
Ideal candidates will have a PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, physiology, biomedical sciences, or a related field. Helpful experience includes mammalian cell culture, human iPSC culture, CRISPR-based genome editing, organoid models, and in vivo small-animal work (mouse/rat handling, breeding/genotyping, tissue collection; surgical experience is a plus).
To apply, send a CV and a brief summary of your research experience to aybuke.celik@childrens.harvard.edu. No deadline was stated in the post. Learn more about the lab via the linked page.
