About this position
Postdoctoral Research Position in Isotope Geochemistry and CSIA Method Development at the University of Barcelona (Spain), within the MAiMA Research Group and the ADVANCE4WATER-ISOTRACE project.
The project focuses on the development and application of advanced isotope techniques to study the fate, impact, and remediation of groundwater contaminants. The successful candidate will work on topics including compound-specific isotope analysis (CSIA), method development for contaminants of emerging concern (CECs), organic and isotope geochemistry, passive sampling, extraction methods, and laboratory/field applications for groundwater pollution studies.
Eligibility: Applicants should have a PhD in Chemistry, Geochemistry, Environmental Sciences, or a related field, with strong experience in analytical chemistry, organic geochemistry, and/or isotope geochemistry.
Appointment: Full-time postdoctoral contract for 11 months, with a possible extension. The starting date is estimated for October 2026.
