About this position

Arizona State University’s School of Life Sciences is recruiting two postdoctoral scholars for a newly funded NIH U19 cooperative agreement focused on aging biology, multi-omics, and computational genomics.

The positions are based at the Tempe Campus and will analyze multi-tissue, longitudinal datasets from the free-ranging Cayo Santiago rhesus macaque population. Research may include DNA methylation, RNA-seq, single-nucleus RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, CUT&Tag, metabolomics, proteomics, immune phenotyping, genotype data, behavioral observations, social adversity, endocrine and physiological measures, reproductive outcomes, and survival.

Depending on background and interests, the work may focus on tissue-specific aging, single-cell and chromatin-state integration, epigenomic and transcriptomic drivers of age-related decline, biological-age and mortality prediction, longitudinal aging trajectories, cross-species comparisons, and reproducible informatics infrastructure for multi-omic analyses.

Applicants should have a PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent doctoral degree by the time of appointment in genomics, computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics, data science, computer science, systems biology, evolutionary biology, aging biology, neuroscience, or a related field. Strong R/Python skills, reproducible research practices, version control, and command-line analysis experience are required.

Preferred experience includes RNA-seq, DNA methylation, ATAC-seq, CUT&Tag, ChIP-seq, sc/snRNA-seq, whole-genome sequencing, metabolomics, proteomics, functional/regulatory genomics, multi-omic integration, epigenetic clocks, survival analysis, mixed models, longitudinal modeling, eQTL/meQTL, mediation, Mendelian randomization, containerized computing, and HPC workflows.

The salary range is $65,000–$75,000. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis after the October 19, 2026 deadline, with a reserve pool considered until the position is filled.

To apply, submit a cover letter, CV, three references, and one representative publication or preprint through Interfolio. Optional links to GitHub, software, workflows, or other computational products may also be included.
