About this position

Duke-NUS Medical School is recruiting Postdoctoral Researchers for the Adaptive Metabolism Laboratory within the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disorders (CVMD) Signature Research Programme in Singapore.

The lab’s research focuses on adaptive metabolism and its role in human disease, with particular interests in adipose tissue biology, futile cycles, and systemic metabolic adaptation and regulation. This is a strong fit for candidates working in metabolism, metabolic physiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and related biomedical research areas.

Applicants should have extensive experience using mouse models and cell-based systems, including primary cell isolation and differentiation. Experience in adipose tissue, liver, or skeletal muscle pathophysiology is expected. A solid background in molecular biology and biochemistry is required. Multi-omics experience is desirable for one position, and candidates with experimental research backgrounds plus computational skills are especially encouraged.

The appointment is initially for 1 year, with the possibility of extension for up to 4 years based on performance. The post is described as a collaborative and supportive research environment, and successful candidates may also be supported in applying for internal and external postdoctoral fellowships.

To apply, email a single PDF to [email protected] with: (1) CV, maximum 3 pages; (2) a 1-page project idea; and (3) a brief motivation statement explaining complementarity and mutual value addition. Use the subject line Postdoc_Duke_FirstName_LastName.

No application deadline is stated in the post.
