University of Limerick is recruiting a Post Doctoral Researcher, Level 1 or Level 2 in AI for Cybersecurity.

This opportunity sits within a cybersecurity research team led by Donna O'Shea, Chair of Digital Engineering at the University of Limerick, and is connected to the HEA North South Research Programme Cyber Unite.

The research focus includes AI for cybersecurity, human-centric explainability, agentic AI for threat detection, reasoning, orchestration and response, AI-enabled situational awareness, adaptive cyber defence, IIoT security, and cyber ranges and digital twins for testing and validation.

Applicants should have a background in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cyber-physical systems, machine learning, or a related numerate discipline. The role also involves publications, funding proposals, dissemination, mentoring, and capacity building.
