The USask Fruit Program is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to work on flowering regulation, frost avoidance, and frost tolerance in fruit crops such as grapes and haskap. The project combines fruit breeding and genetics, plant phenotyping, metabolomics, and physiological analysis across field, greenhouse, laboratory, and computational settings.

The position is supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Anže Švara and is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. The researcher will contribute to experiments, sampling, method development for frost damage assessment, data processing, scalable analytical workflows, publications, reporting, and collaboration with breeders, horticultural scientists, growers, and industry partners.
