About this position

The University of Luxembourg invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Geometry within the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM). The successful candidate will conduct research aligned with the group’s interests, which include geometric group theory, complex geometry, finiteness properties of groups and spaces, Dehn functions, Morse theory, topology of smooth complex projective varieties, hyperbolic and non-positively curved groups, nilpotent groups, and simple groups. The position also involves participating in departmental scientific activities, contributing up to 90 hours per year to teaching, and engaging in outreach initiatives.

Applicants must possess a high-quality PhD in mathematics and demonstrate an outstanding research record in a related domain. Interest in geometric group theory, complex geometry, or similar areas is essential. Fluency in English or French is required.
