The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Investigator, Partner Investigators, research students, and collaborators, and may assist with supervision and mentoring of PhD and Honours students.

Eligibility highlights: a PhD in a relevant engineering discipline is required. Strong experience with electromagnetic theory, antenna design, simulation tools such as CST Studio Suite, Ansys HFSS, or Keysight ADS, plus hands-on prototyping and additive manufacturing experience are expected. For Level B, experience with satellite/CubeSat systems, smart materials, 4D printing, antenna measurement systems, phased arrays, beam steering, collaborative research, publication record, and student supervision is desirable.

What's required

A PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Microwave Engineering, Antenna Engineering, Electromagnetics, RF Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. Applicants should have strong knowledge of electromagnetic theory, microwave engineering and antenna theory; demonstrated experience designing and modelling microwave circuits and antennas; proficiency with CST Studio Suite, Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS or equivalent software; hands-on experience in microwave/antenna hardware development, fabrication, prototyping and experimental validation; experience with 3D printing/additive manufacturing; and experience characterising materials or fabricated components. For Level B consideration, additional experience in satellite/CubeSat systems, reconfigurable or shape-morphing antennas, 4D printing, smart/shape-memory materials, antenna measurement systems, phased arrays or beam steering, collaborative research, publication record, and student supervision is preferred.
