Postdoctoral Researcher (Post-doc) at the Eugeniusz Piasecki University of Physical Education in Poznań, Department of Neuromuscular Physiotherapy, within the OPUS 30 project (No. 2025/59/B/NZ4/02602).

This is a full-time, temporary employment contract for a postdoctoral researcher in Poland. The project focuses on the neurophysiological profile of motor units and spinal excitability in humans undergoing whole-body vibration training combined with transspinal direct current stimulation (tsDCS). The selected researcher will help conduct neurophysiological experiments, organize the laboratory and research setup, prepare experiments, analyse data, and assist with preparing publications.

Candidate profile and eligibility

Applicants should have a doctoral degree and a strong background in neurophysiology-related areas such as biological sciences, medical biology, medical sciences, health sciences, physical culture sciences, biomedical engineering, or psychology. The call also asks for a documented research record, including at least three journal publications with Impact Factor where the candidate is first or last author, plus experience in a research grant or a research internship of at least one week. Relevant hands-on experience in psychophysical or neurophysiological research involving the human musculoskeletal system is important, especially in biomechanics, EMG analysis, motion capture, dynamometry, stabilometry, mathematical modelling, biopotential analysis, bio-algorithms, biomedical signal processing, or computational neuroscience. Strong English ability is required for communication and publication, together with demonstrated interest in nervous system function, movement neurophysiology, and neuromuscular assessment.
