About this position
Radboud University Medical Center (Radboudumc) in Nijmegen is recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher in precision immuno-oncology and biomarker development. The project sits at the interface of clinical oncology, tumour immunology, pharmacology, pathology, medical imaging, and data science, with a strong translational focus on thoracic malignancies and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
You will lead biomarker discovery, development, and validation using data from the DEDICATION-1 trial (PMID: 38089058). The role emphasizes analysis of multi-omics, immunological, and clinical datasets to build robust, personalized decision-support tools for precision immuno-oncology. The work is designed to bridge laboratory findings with clinical application and contribute to future treatment decisions guided by validated biomarkers.
The position is based at Radboudumc, Nijmegen, with close collaboration with UMC Utrecht and other partner institutions in an expanding (inter)national consortium. The research environment is described as open, inclusive, collegial, and internationally connected, with access to clinical trial data, biobanking infrastructure, and bioinformatics support.
Eligibility highlights: a PhD in biomedical sciences, computational biology, immunology, or a related field; strong expertise in translational cancer immunobiology and tumour-immune interactions; proficiency in data science and large multidimensional data analysis; experience working across clinical, translational, and computational settings; strong scientific writing; and good English communication skills. Dutch is an asset. A Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is required.
Funding and contract: fixed-term 2-year postdoctoral contract (0.8–1.0 FTE) with the prospect of extension depending on performance and funding. Salary is listed in scale 10/11, from €3,724 to €6,825. The post also includes standard employment benefits and active mentorship, including support for grant writing.
Application window: the vacancy closes on 16 August 2026. First interviews are scheduled for 28 August 2026. Apply via the vacancy page using the online application form and upload your CV and cover letter.
