The project focuses on melanoma, tumor plasticity, cancer immunology, and the interactions between melanoma cells and immune cells. The successful candidate will use a unique spatial transcriptomics dataset from matched nevi and melanoma samples to characterize melanoma cell states, study mechanisms of tumor progression and resistance, and validate candidate mechanisms using in vitro and in vivo approaches.
Desired expertise includes immuno-oncology, molecular biology, flow cytometry, and animal experimentation. The post is suitable for a researcher interested in tumor evolution, early tumor progression, and translational strategies in melanoma.
