About this position
Postdoctoral Researcher or Research Engineer opportunity in Biostatistics and Multi-Omics Data Integration at UMR 1311 Inserm DYNAMICURE, University of Rouen Normandy, France.
The MICROBIOSTHME project is a translational study on the respiratory microbiome, host immune responses, and longitudinal clinical phenotypes in severe infant asthma (preschool wheezing). The project includes a prospective 12-month cohort of 100 infants and more than 1,000 respiratory samples from upper and lower airways.
This is a 24-month fully funded position starting early 2027. The work is data-intensive and focuses on statistical multi-omics integration, longitudinal mixed modeling, predictive modeling, and biomarker discovery. Available datasets include metatranscriptomics, Olink proteomics, cytomics, and longitudinal clinical metadata, with regulatory approvals already secured and part of the multi-omics data already generated.
Applicants should hold a PhD in Biostatistics, Computational Biology, Mathematics, Bioinformatics, or a related field. Strong skills in R, Python, Linux/Bash, and HPC/Slurm are expected, along with experience in NGS data analysis and multivariate statistics. Experience in multi-omics integration or machine learning for health data is a strong advantage.
The position is based in Rouen, with a deadline of 31 December 2026. Interested candidates should contact Dr. Chervin Hassel by email for informal inquiries or application guidance.
