About this position
We’re hiring a postdoc or PhD-qualified research engineer in single-cell and spatial bioinformatics in Bordeaux, France.
Join the Computational Biology and Bioinformatics team at IBGC (CNRS) to study how cancer stem cells and immunosuppressive myeloid cells communicate in liver cancer / hepatocellular carcinoma.
This INCa PLBIO-funded project combines single-cell RNA-seq, single-cell epigenomics, and spatial transcriptomics from human tumours, plus RNA-seq and proteomics from co-culture experiments. The successful candidate will integrate these datasets to connect cellular states, chromatin regulation, and spatial niches, and help identify candidate mechanisms for experimental testing.
Applicants should have a PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field, strong R and/or Python skills, and experience with single-cell or spatial transcriptomics. Experience in epigenomics is welcome, but you do not need to know every modality already.
The team describes a collaborative environment with open scientific discussions, close links to the people generating the data, and room to develop your own analytical ideas.
Interested candidates should contact the team to discuss the position and can use the linked vacancy page for more information.
