University College Dublin is recruiting 2 post-doctoral researchers in Quantum Computing for Power and Energy Systems within the QUBIC project (Quantum Utilisation for Breakthroughs in Ireland’s Computing).
The project focuses on applying quantum computing to high-impact sectors, and this specific work package targets the use of quantum methods for modern electrical power system analysis, control, and optimisation. The successful researchers will join an interdisciplinary team of UCD and industry researchers, working alongside both Electrical Power Systems experts and Quantum Computing experts.
Relevant academic areas include Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, and Industrial Engineering, with research interests in quantum algorithms, optimization, AI/ML, and stochastic modelling for energy systems.
