About this position
The University of Central Florida (UCF) Department of Industrial Engineering and Management Systems is recruiting two Postdoctoral Scholars to support the National Commercialization and Translation Institute (NCTI), a $20 million national pilot funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation.
This postdoctoral opportunity is centered on research in industrial engineering, innovation and entrepreneurship, economics of innovation, management and organization science, science and technology policy, computational social science, and AI-assisted qualitative research methods. The scholars will help instrument and maintain a national registry, lead baseline and longitudinal data collection, conduct case-based and qualitative comparative analysis (QCA), support LLM-assisted qualitative analyses, and contribute to peer-reviewed manuscripts, public-use datasets, and a transferable intervention playbook.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field before the appointment begins. Strong qualitative, configurational, or computational methods experience is especially valued. Candidates must also be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; H-1B sponsorship and transfers are not available for this role.
The position is based at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, United States. The expected salary is $85,000. Applications must be submitted electronically through UCF Jobs, with a CV and required supporting documents uploaded together. Official transcripts and, if applicable, degree equivalency evaluations may be requested later.
If you are interested in a research-intensive postdoctoral role at the intersection of innovation policy, computational methods, and national-scale experimentation, apply through the UCF careers portal.
