About this position
Penn State University’s Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences and the National Synthesis Center for Emergence in the Molecular and Cellular Sciences (NCEMS) are seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar in Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence for research at the interface of computer science, data science, statistical learning, molecular and cellular biology, and quantitative physical sciences.
The successful candidate will work with faculty and research staff at NCEMS on original research using large-scale public datasets and computational methods such as biological data harmonization, representation learning, predictive modeling, foundation models, network analysis, graph-based learning, uncertainty quantification, scientific machine learning, and interpretable AI.
This is a full-time, on-site position at the Penn State University Park campus in the United States. Remote work is not permitted. The appointment is a term position funded for one year from the date of hire, with an excellent chance of renewal depending on mutual agreement, university need, performance, and/or funding.
