Job Description

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Scholar to join the Department of Psychiatry. This position is of one-year duration but is potentially renewable for an additional one to two years, depending on performance and available funds


Responsibilities
  • Assists research faculty with participant recruitment, enrollment, data acquisition, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
  • Supports the development of Grand Challenge grant proposals and other funding opportunities.
  • Performs statistical analyses and contributes to multiple peer-reviewed publications.
  • Participates in the preparation and submission of grant applications.
  • Develop and propose innovative research ideas, including new methods for data analysis, that align with and advance current research initiatives.
  • Applies for independent research funding; mentorship and support will be provided to facilitate this process.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Qualifications

    PhD, MD, DO, or equivalent degree. Education and research experience in the areas of outcomes research. Successful applicants will have demonstrated success in research, scholarship, and/or grant-funded research. A commitment to excellence in teaching as well as excellent oral and written communication skills is also expected.
