We’re excited to announce a NIHR-funded PhD studentship, hosted by the ReCITE project at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), with collaboration from Liverpool John Moores University, the University of Bristol, and the UK Health Security Agency.
?? Location: LSTM, Liverpool
?? Funding: Fully funded (fees + stipend)
?? Research theme: Tackling mis/disinformation in pandemic preparedness through community-led, creative, and participatory approaches
??? Deadline: 14 August 2025
Despite ongoing efforts, vaccine equity in Merseyside has declined post-pandemic, with the region now a national outlier. This studentship will explore how community-based interventions can combat mis/disinformation, build resilience, and improve public trust in health systems.
?? Key areas:
?? Co-developing interventions with community and health partners
?? Using creative and participatory research methods
?? Evaluating impact on misinformation resilience, trust, and health outcomes
?? Developing frameworks to measure and address health misinformation
We’re seeking candidates with a background in psychology or a health-related field, trained to Master’s level in qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods.
