About this position

EES Labs at the Center for Environmental Intelligence (CEI), VinUniversity, is recruiting for Research Assistant, PhD student, and Postdoctoral Researcher opportunities focused on the next generation of high-power wireless charging infrastructure for light-duty electric vehicles (EVs).

The research agenda combines wireless power transfer (WPT), power electronics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, optimization, embedded systems, FPGA/DSP, robotics, and computer vision. Specific topics include high-efficiency Tx/Rx coil design, high-frequency power converters, resonant compensation topologies, high-power charging infrastructure, AI-based receiver position tracking, foreign object detection (FOD), misalignment detection and compensation, intelligent charging control, and computer vision for vehicle alignment.

Additional directions include multi-objective optimization of Tx/Rx coils, high-Q coil structure design, efficiency optimization, EMF reduction, robust charging under varying transmission distances and load conditions, digital twin development, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) implementation.

The post highlights opportunities to publish in high-impact journals, develop novel AI algorithms for wireless EV charging, design and prototype high-power charging hardware, build intelligent embedded systems, collaborate with international universities and industrial partners, and participate in national and international research projects.

How to apply: send your CV, research interests, and selected publications (if any) via LinkedIn message or email to [email protected]. No deadline, stipend, or funding package is specified in the post.

Named contacts mentioned in the post include Laurent El Ghaoui and Bac Phung.
