About this position
Research Fellow – Clinical Diagnostic Translation Research at the University of Melbourne (Parkville, Melbourne, Australia).
This is a full-time, fixed-term 12-month research role in the Department of Infectious Diseases, within the Pasricha Laboratory at the Doherty Institute. The project focuses on multidisciplinary infectious diseases diagnostics research, especially STI diagnostics, real-world clinical implementation, self-collection approaches, and national/international field study leadership.
The successful candidate will lead diagnostic implementation studies that improve STI detection and care in real-world settings, including multi-site trials, protocol development, ethics submissions, regulatory documentation, participant recruitment, data collection, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and coordination with clinicians, laboratories, and health services. The role also involves mentoring students and junior researchers, contributing to manuscripts and presentations, and participating in laboratory meetings.
