About this position

Kyoto University Graduate School of Medicine is recruiting a Special Research Fellow in the Medical Field Industry-Academia Collaboration Promotion Organization. This is a postdoctoral-equivalent fixed-term research position based at the Medical Innovation Center in Kyoto, Japan.

Funding is a salaried full-time appointment with annual pay starting from 3 million yen, determined by experience and ability. No allowances, bonuses, or retirement benefits are provided. The contract runs from as soon as possible after hiring until 2027-03-31, with possible renewal up to a total of 10 years.

What's required

Applicants should hold a PhD, or a master's degree from a medical, pharmaceutical, agricultural, or science/engineering program with research experience equivalent to a PhD. Experience and skills in mouse husbandry and management (weaning, mating, genotyping), drug efficacy/pharmacology testing using mouse models, intraperitoneal/intravenous/subcutaneous/oral administration in mice, and isolation/culture of mouse organs and cells are desired. Experience with FACS analysis, tissue section preparation, and immunostaining is also desired. Candidates should be proactive in learning new technologies and able to work quickly and collaboratively.
