I’m thrilled to share that, starting in May, I’ll join The University of Manchester as a Senior Lecturer! I’ll be part of a new research team focused on AI, Trust, and Security, building on the incredible work of UoM’s Centre for Digital Trust and Society (CDTS), led by Nicholas Lord .
It’s an immense privilege to join such an interdisciplinary, cutting-edge community, especially at a time when our relationship with algorithmic systems -- and their controllers -- is at a critical political crossroads.
That said, leaving the Netherlands and the brilliant friends I’ve made at the University of Groningen is no easy task. Their bravery, collegiality, and support have meant the world to me ??
I’ll have more to say about both Groningen and this transition soon, but for now, let’s get to the second (and perhaps more urgent!) part of this post:
?? The CDTS is hiring fully funded PhD students! ??
