Visiting Assistant Professor in Film and Video Production The University of Iowa in United States

The Department of Cinematic Arts at The University of Iowa is inviting applications for a 75%-time Visiting Assistant Professor in Film and Video Production for the 2026-2027 academic year. This is a teaching-focused appointment in Film and Video Production, with opportunities to teach introductory and advanced courses across the curriculum.

The position is especially relevant for candidates with strengths in film production, video production, editing, nonfiction/documentary, sound design, post-production, and related digital media practices. Preferred experience includes teaching documentary, experimental, and post-production courses, as well as broader coverage across narrative fiction, nonfiction, alternative forms, image design, and editing.
