Abhinav Koyamangalath Vadakkepat

Two fully funded PhD positions are available in the lab of Dr. Abhinav Koyamangalath Vadakkepat at the Leicester Institute of Structural and Chemical Biology, University of Leicester, UK. The research focuses on structural studies of membrane protein complexes involved in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and phage therapy. One project investigates the molecular mechanisms of horizontal gene transfer in bacteria, while the other explores bacterial defense mechanisms against bacteriophage infections. The positions are part of the BBSRC Midlands Integrative Biosciences Training Partnership (MIBTP) Doctoral Training Programme, which offers interdisciplinary training and collaboration opportunities.
