Adam Michalchuk

PhD opportunity at the University of Birmingham in the School of Chemistry for a project in computational chemistry . The project, starting September 2026 , is a 3-year PhD focused on developing a computational workflow for the capture and passivation of chemical warfare agents . The research will use density functional theory (DFT) methods and build high-throughput workflows for materials discovery , in collaboration with industry partners. The opportunity is being advertised by Adam Michalchuk (Assistant Professor, University of Birmingham) together with Andrew Tarzia .
