PhD opportunity in Antarctic Marine Geology, Paleoceanography, and Ice–Ocean Interactions at the University of Granada within the WARM-POLE/WARM-AP project. The position is linked to the Spanish FPU 2026 predoctoral fellowship and is aimed at a highly motivated candidate interested in Antarctic research, sediment-core studies, and Earth-system science. The project will investigate how continental-margin morphology, Southern Ocean circulation, and climate variability have shaped Antarctic ice–ocean interactions, using sedimentary archives from the Antarctic Peninsula and focusing on past warmer-than-present intervals. Research themes include Antarctic marine geology , paleoceanography , sedimentology , geochemistry , mineralogy , and CT imaging . The post also mentions planned cruises, international research stays, and collaboration with the WARM-POLE/TASMANDRAKE research team. Methods can be adapted to the candidate’s interests and research questions. This is a predoctoral PhD opportunity , not a postdoc or master’s call.
