PhD position in Biofluid Mechanics and related areas

The Aghilinejad Group at the University of California Merced is recruiting PhD students and postdoctoral researchers for Spring 2026. Research areas include biofluid mechanics, experimental fluid dynamics, application of machine learning for hemodynamics, pulse wave analysis, and microfluidics and particle separation. The group is particularly interested in candidates with prior research experience in biomedical flows, hemodynamics, machine learning, hyperbolic PDE simulations, or experimental fluid mechanics. Postdoctoral applicants with expertise in clinical data analytics, machine learning, and non-invasive diagnostic technologies are encouraged to apply, with preference for experience in cardiovascular signal processing.
