Alan Ford is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Nottingham, UK. His research focuses on the intersections of theology and history during the Reformation and Counter-Reformation periods, with recent works examining the Church of Ireland's role in the early-seventeenth-century Atlantic and its ritual canons from 1871 to 1974. He has contributed to academic discourse on confessionalism and mobility in early modern Ireland, as well as the development of Irish Anglicanism.
