EDGE: Enhancing Democratic Support under Conditions of Geographic and Intersectional Inequalities in Europe

The project examines how objective and subjective economic inequalities shape citizens’ support for democracy across Europe. The postdoc will contribute to theory development, systematic literature reviews, cross-national survey analysis, linked register and survey data analysis, and the design and implementation of town hall activities with embedded experiments. The role also includes co-authoring academic articles and contributing to policy-relevant outputs.

Eligibility highlights:
applicants must have completed or be close to completing a PhD in political science, political economy, economics, or a related field; strong theoretical and empirical knowledge of inequality is required; excellent quantitative skills and experience with large datasets/register data are required; excellent English proficiency is required; experience with experimental methods is desirable.
Funding and appointment:
the position is funded through the Horizon Europe EDGE project. The appointment lasts 27 months, with 17 months of research and 10 months of teaching duties. Salary and terms follow the Ministry of Finance agreement with the Central Academic Organisation.
