A fully funded PhD position is available at the University of Leeds as part of a national Cancer Research UK (CRUK) programme focused on the prevention of Myeloma, a type of blood cancer. The successful candidate will develop an early economic decision model to assess the value of targeted screening and early intervention strategies for Myeloma. The project leverages a unique dataset from the iSTOPMM project, the largest scientific study ever conducted in Iceland, and includes opportunities to collaborate with international teams and visit Iceland. The interdisciplinary team includes members from the Academic Unit of Health Economics (AUHE) at Leeds, clinical partners at the University of Birmingham, and the iSTOPMM team in Iceland. Applicants should have experience in health economics or a related discipline and be eager to develop modelling skills and contribute to future clinical trials and guidelines.
