Marine bioluminescence: How and why?
. Research activities include culturing

, CRISPR-Cas9 knockout generation, common garden experiments comparing wildtype and knockout strains, antibody-based localization of biosynthesis/recycling components, and advanced imaging such as transmission electron microscopy and VolumeScope FIB-SEM to study light organs and innervation.
Applicants should hold a PhD in cell biology, marine ecology, marine invertebrate biology, or a related equivalent field. Preferred experience includes working with invertebrate cultures, experimental physiology or cell biology, 3D morphological reconstruction, gene manipulation (CRISPR-Cas9), mentoring students, and strong English communication skills. The role includes research in invertebrate biology, cell biology, and marine ecology, plus some teaching.
