Shun Feng, incoming Assistant Professor in the newly established Department of Physics at the University of Macau, is hiring for

. The group emphasizes a strong experimental platform at UM/IAPME, with shared major equipment and facilities available from day one for fabrication and characterization of quantum materials and devices.
Open positions:
1 postdoctoral fellow, 2–3 PhD students, and multiple research assistants.
Funding:
The post says there are 4 PhD scholarships and 1 postdoc opening funded by the University of Macau. PhD scholarship support is MOP 12,500/month, rising to MOP 20,000/month for outstanding candidates under the UMPS program. The postdoctoral salary is MOP 25,000–40,000/month. Research assistants receive MOP 12,500/month, and excellent RAs may be recommended for PhD admission.
Eligibility highlights:
For PhD applicants, preferred backgrounds are Physics, Electronics, Optics, and Materials Science. Preference is given to candidates from 211/985 or Double First-Class universities in China, or other reputable overseas universities, especially those with a Master’s degree or RA experience and scientific publications. English requirements are IELTS 6.0 (no band below 5.5), TOEFL 80, or CET-6 430.
