ELLIS Institute Finland and Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM) are recruiting postdoctoral researchers and PhD students for the FINe-Health strategic initiative, a machine learning project focused on transforming healthcare with AI. The project will build the world’s first nationwide healthcare foundation model using Finnish health registry data and develop new machine learning methods for decision making in health and medicine. Researchers will work with world-class longitudinal health records covering more than 5 billion medical events and spanning the entire Finnish population. This opportunity is especially relevant for candidates with interests in Machine Learning , Artificial Intelligence , Health Data Science , Human Genetics , and biomedical applications of large-scale health data. The initiative is backed by a 5M€ grant from Business Finland and aims to translate research into practice with company and public sector partners, as well as spin-offs. The positions are based at ELLIS Institute Finland , a leading research environment within the European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems.
