. The successful candidate is expected to develop an independent research profile, contribute to ongoing projects, and help shape new project ideas and grant applications.
The role combines research, teaching, and academic service. Duties include independent teaching in psychotherapy and psychotherapy research for an average of four semester hours per semester, supervision of bachelor’s and master’s theses, participation in team meetings, supervision and intervision, and involvement in university committees and evaluation activities. The post also includes participation in competitive third-party funding applications, including FWF, FFG, and EU opportunities.
Eligibility is aimed at applicants with an excellent degree in psychotherapy science or a related discipline such as psychology, human medicine, education, sociology, philosophy, theology, teacher education, or social work. A completed doctorate is required. The university is looking for people with substantial practical and scientific experience in psychotherapy research, peer-reviewed publication experience, strong teaching ability, and experience with clinical diagnostic tools used in research and teaching (for example SCID-5, CIDI, or DIPS). Solid quantitative-methods skills and confidence with common analysis software such as R, SPSS, Mplus, or Python are also important, as are very good English skills and a strong interest in the research priorities of the psychotherapy research group.
The position is based at the University of Graz in Graz, Austria, and offers a full-time annual gross salary of at least
€70,200.20
