Project / Research Engineer opening in Mechanical Metamaterials at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. This opportunity is for a highly motivated Project / Research Engineer to join a research project on the Design and Applications of Mechanical Metamaterials . The work combines experimental research , numerical simulations , and the design and characterization of mechanical metamaterials . Eligibility: Applicants should have an M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering , Mechanical Engineering , Materials Science & Engineering , or a related discipline from a reputed institute, or an M.Sc. in Physics from a reputed institute. Experience with ANSYS and/or Abaqus will be an advantage. Funding and duration: The position is a project-based role with remuneration as per project norms and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The project duration is 3 years , with performance evaluation at the end of each year. Candidates should be willing to commit for at least one year. Research environment: The role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge research in mechanical metamaterials , with potential for publications in leading international journals and contribution to patentable technologies. There is also a potential opportunity to pursue a PhD at IIT Kanpur , subject to meeting Institute and Departmental admission requirements and selection criteria.
