The Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Warsaw is offering a full-time postdoctoral position in organic chemistry within the Organometallic Synthesis Laboratory. The project, entitled Thermally and Chemically More Stable Stereoselective and Stereoretentive Catalysts for Olefin Metathesis Reactions , is led by Anna Kajetanowicz and financed by the National Science Centre, Poland. The successful candidate will contribute to laboratory work supporting the realization of the project, help organize daily laboratory activities, oversee research tasks carried out by less experienced team members, present results, and participate in preparing scientific papers. The role is research-intensive and well suited to an experienced postdoctoral chemist interested in catalysis, organometallic chemistry, and stereoselective/stereoretentive olefin metathesis. Eligibility highlights include a PhD in chemistry (awarded no more than 7 years before the employment date, or near completion by the first day of work), advanced experience in organic synthesis and organometallic chemistry, good English proficiency (at least B2), and a publication record of at least three papers in international journals. Teamwork skills and compliance with Polish higher-education employment rules are also required. The appointment starts in November 2026 and lasts 12 months, with the possibility of extension.
