University College Cork is recruiting a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher for the School of Law on the Youth Climate Justice Project , an European Research Council (ERC)-funded research project focused on children’s leadership in climate action around the world. The project examines how children engage in the climate space across multiple countries and in the courts, making this a strong opportunity for researchers interested in climate justice, children’s rights, legal advocacy, and interdisciplinary socio-legal research. The successful candidate will join a vibrant team that includes PhD researchers in law and social science. The post is intended for an experienced researcher with a background in disciplines such as law, social science, or anthropology . Key duties include managing the project website, undertaking research with children in Argentina, producing high-quality academic outputs, and publishing in leading journals. The role also supports advanced research development, including contributing to funding proposals and participating in the supervision and mentorship of graduate students in conjunction with an academic supervisor. This is a 21-month fixed-term, whole-time post based at University College Cork in Ireland . Appointment may be made on the IUA PD2 Salary Scale at €55,399-€60,250 per annum , in line with public sector pay policy. The position is full-time (39 hours per week). Garda vetting and/or an international police clearance check may be required as part of the selection process. Applicants should hold a PhD or equivalent .
