KU Leuven is hiring for two research positions in AI for digital pathology and multimodal breast cancer imaging within the M4GIC-ILC EIC Pathfinder project. The work focuses on improving the clinical management of patients with invasive lobular breast cancer by integrating pathology, radiology, molecular, and clinical data. Open roles: • PhD researcher — Pathology foundation models Adapt and benchmark foundation models for digital pathology, with applications in virtual staining and prediction of multi-gene signatures. A strong computational background and experience in machine learning are expected; prior pathology knowledge is a plus. • Postdoctoral researcher — Multimodal AI for breast radiology and digital pathology Develop breast-imaging foundation models and integrate radiology with digital pathology to build multimodal AI models. A strong computational background and research experience in radiology image analysis are required. Both positions are full-time, three-year appointments based in Leuven , working closely with clinical and computational researchers across an international consortium.
