The Yadav Lab at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is recruiting a postdoctoral research associate to study the emergent principles of leaf morphogenesis . This position sits at the intersection of plant biology , developmental biology , biophysics , computational biology , cell wall biology , and mechanical modeling . The lab aims to understand how genetic, epigenetic, hormonal, cellular, and biomechanical processes interact across scales to shape developing leaves, with particular attention to regulatory networks, cell growth, cell wall properties, tissue mechanics, and organ-level form. Applicants with formal training in cell wall biology , mechanics , and/or mechanical modeling are especially encouraged to apply.
