(Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine).
This NIH-NIDDK funded postdoc is focused on
liver biology
,
liver immunology
,
hematology
, and
chronic liver diseases
, including liver injury, inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis, and acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF). The project offers opportunities for independent and collaborative research, manuscript preparation, conference presentations, mentorship, career development, and grant-writing training.
Required background:
PhD, MD, or equivalent in Immunology, Hematology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Physiology, Pharmacology, or a related field; strong publication record; experience with flow cytometry, primary cell isolation from mouse tissues, rodent survival surgery, cell culture, western blotting, qPCR, immunofluorescence/immunohistochemistry, confocal microscopy, and analysis of public genomic/transcriptomic datasets.
Preferred:
experience in liver disease, immune cell biology, metabolism, hematology, preclinical animal models, multi-omics, bioinformatics, computational biology, and large-scale data analysis.
