Postdoc or PhD Opportunity in Molecular Ageing, Hepatic Organoids and Single-Cell Genomics
Join the
Molecular Ageing Lab
at the
University of Valencia
/
Institut BIOTECMED
in Valencia, Spain. The lab, led by
Celia M.
, is recruiting a motivated researcher to study the
molecular mechanisms of ageing
using
hepatic organoids
and
single-cell genomics
approaches, including
scRNA-seq
and
scATAC-seq
.
The research focus is on dissecting cellular heterogeneity and the transcriptional and epigenetic changes associated with ageing, with a strong emphasis on modelling ageing in vitro using 3D organoids and advanced genomic technologies. This is a good fit for candidates interested in ageing biology, epigenetics, transcriptomics, liver organoids, and single-cell analysis.
Open profiles:
postdoc, PhD student, and technician. The primary opening is for a
postdoc
for candidates holding a PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, or related fields. A
PhD student
route is also possible for candidates with an outstanding academic record who can apply for predoctoral fellowships such as
FPI
,
FPU
, regional schemes, or equivalent. A
technician
role is also mentioned for candidates with a Masters or PhD seeking a long-term post.
Preferred experience:
cell culture or iPSC differentiation, liver organoids as a plus, hands-on single-cell genomics, conversational English, international/intercultural experience, proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and teamwork.
Funding:
the lab describes the environment as well funded and internationally connected. Members are encouraged and supported to apply for
Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA)
fellowships and equivalent national grants such as
Juan de la Cierva
and
Ramón y Cajal
. No stipend amount is given.
How to apply:
send a CV and brief motivation letter to
[email protected]
. More information is available on the lab website.
