Postdoctoral Positions at Sichuan University in Energy Infrastructure Resilience , Disaster Mitigation , Physics-Data Integrated Hazard Modeling , and related areas are now open at the Research Group of Energy Infrastructure Resilience and Disaster Mitigation, Sichuan University. The group is led by Prof. Kaoshan Dai (HaiNa Distinguished Professor, China’s National High-Level Talent Program) and is recruiting outstanding postdoctoral researchers worldwide. The team reports 50+ national and provincial projects and 200+ publications, with applications to major Belt and Road energy infrastructure projects. Research directions include numerical simulation and intelligent structural design, structural reliability and resilience, hybrid physical–numerical simulation, engineering AI foundation models, FRP and advanced composite systems, and physics-data integrated multi-hazard modeling. Eligible backgrounds include Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Probability and Statistics, Wind Engineering, Earthquake Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Composite Materials, and related fields. Eligibility highlights: PhD obtained within the past 3–5 years, generally under age 35, strong mechanics and mathematics background preferred, plus scientific programming and finite element modeling experience. Applicants should show strong research achievements and independent research potential. Funding and benefits: salary starts at RMB 180,000/year, with possible support up to RMB 300,000/year under the HaiNa Postdoctoral Program. Additional competitive funding may be available.
