Christina Zielinski

A fully funded PhD studentship is available in the field of Immunology at the University of Cambridge, under the supervision of Professor Christina Zielinski. The project, supported by an ERC grant, focuses on investigating the fundamental mechanisms of a novel immune target in T cells and its implications for cancer immunotherapy. The research will explore the regulation of Gasdermin E-mediated cytotoxicity by pyroptotic T cells, aiming to advance understanding of immune responses in cancer. The position offers the opportunity to work in a leading academic environment with access to state-of-the-art facilities and a vibrant research community. Applicants should have a strong background in immunology, biology, or a related discipline, and demonstrate motivation for high-level research. The studentship covers tuition fees and provides a stipend for living expenses, and is open to both UK and international candidates. The application deadline is December 3, 2025. Interested candidates should prepare their application materials and apply via the University of Cambridge's online portal. For more information, refer to the official job posting or contact Professor Zielinski.

Christina Zielinski, Professor of Infection Immunology at the University of Cambridge, is advertising a postdoc opportunity in immunology at Cambridge. The project is ERCCoG funded and focuses on decoding the regulation of tissue resident T cells in humans . This is a strong fit for candidates with interests in immunology, infection immunology, human immunology, and T cell biology . The role is listed as a Research Associate (Fixed Term) at the University of Cambridge . The post is aimed at a passionate immunologist and appears to be a funded postdoctoral research position rather than a scholarship or studentship. Application deadline: 30 April. Postdoctoral opportunity in Immunology at the University of Cambridge , Department of Pathology, UK. The project sits at the forefront of human T-cell immunology and combines cutting-edge cellular and molecular approaches with gene-editing technologies to investigate a novel cytotoxic pathway in human T cells. The successful candidate will study the molecular mechanisms regulating this pathway and its functional relevance in cancer and infection . This role is suited to a highly motivated scientist with a strong background in immunology and an interest in fundamental mechanisms of human immune responses. Location is explicitly stated as the Department of Pathology, University of Cambridge, UK . Application deadline: 29 October 2026 . Relevant keywords: immunology, human T-cell biology, cytotoxicity, gene editing, molecular mechanisms, cancer immunology, infection immunology.

Postdoctoral opening in computational single-cell immunology at the University of Cambridge , Department of Pathology, in Professor Christina Zielinski’s lab. The project, ORGANise-T , is ERC-funded and focuses on how human T cells adapt to life in different tissues. The lab already has large multimodal datasets available, including scRNA-seq , TCR-seq , CITE-seq , spatial transcriptomics , and high-dimensional spectral flow cytometry. The role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in single-cell genomics and spatial transcriptomics analysis , plus experience in immunology , especially T cells. This postdoc sits at the interface of computational biology , artificial intelligence , and immunology, in a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will drive the project, contribute to publications, and collaborate on side projects. Eligibility highlights: strong relevant analytical background and domain experience in immunology/T cells. Funding: ERC-funded postdoctoral position. The post does not specify stipend or salary details. Application: apply by 9 Nov using the linked portal and reference PK51408 . Questions can be sent to [email protected] .
