Postdoc Appreciation Week NL (#PAW_NL) will take place from 21–26 September 2026 in the Netherlands, with the national kick-off scheduled for Monday 21 September 2026, 11:30–13:00 CEST, online. This is not a PhD, postdoc, or master’s opening, but an academic community event dedicated to recognising and supporting postdocs across the Netherlands. The kick-off will include a keynote lecture by Prof. Christine Teelken and Dr. Inge van der Weijden, followed by an interactive panel discussion with multiple perspectives on the postdoc phase. The event highlights the value of postdocs’ contributions to research and academia, while also addressing challenges such as recognition, career development, and long-term perspectives. It aims to create momentum for further dialogue between postdocs, principal investigators, policy makers, research support staff, and others working with postdocs.
