The openings are for Doctoral Candidates in Drug Delivery , Pharmaceutical Formulation , Nanotechnology , Materials Science , Chemistry , Physics , and Machine Learning . Project 1: Hybrid Nanoparticles for Biopharmaceutical Delivery — synthesize and characterize hybrid silica–polymer micro/nanoparticles to protect fragile biomolecules such as peptides and proteins and control their release. The position includes 2 years in Barcelona at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, 12 months at Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, and an industrial stay at Linari Engineering in Italy. Project 2: ML-Driven Design & Phase Behavior of Pharmaceutical Eutectics — combine graph-based machine learning with thermal phase mapping to design stable, high-performance drug formulations. This project is based at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona, with secondments at the University of Silesia in Katowice and Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in Belgium. Funding: 3-year full-time contract with approximately €39,900 gross/year plus mobility and family allowances.
