Postdoctoral Researcher Opening in Energy Materials Science and Electrocatalysis
National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) in Kaohsiung, Taiwan is advertising a
2026 postdoctoral researcher opening
in
energy materials science
within the Department of Materials and Optoelectronic Science.
The position centers on
electrocatalysis
and related energy materials research, including HER, OER, MOR, UOR, seawater electrolysis, energy-saving electrolysis, and photoelectrochemical water splitting. The project also welcomes work on
low-dimensional materials
such as MXenes and TMDs, as well as MOF-, LDH-, and related hybrid or derived electrocatalysts. Additional emphasis is placed on phase, defect, surface, and interface engineering, together with materials characterization and mechanistic studies.
Applicants should hold a PhD in physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science/engineering, nanoscience, or a related field. The post calls for hands-on experience in materials synthesis, electrochemistry, and characterization, plus the ability to work independently and communicate scientific results clearly. A strong first-author publication record is expected; the post notes that first-author papers from the past four years should normally have a combined JCR impact factor of at least 20.
This is a postdoctoral opening rather than a scholarship. The announcement does not specify stipend or funding details, but it is a research position at NSYSU with opportunities for high-quality publications and international collaboration.
To apply, email Prof. Da-Ren Hang with a cover letter, CV, complete publication list, referee contacts, and your earliest possible starting date. Use the subject line “Postdoctoral Application – [Your Name]”. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
